About Me
I have taught 8th grade social studies for fifteen years. I strive to make history real for my students and to inspire them.
​
One of my favorite ways to do this is to travel and bring my travels back into the classroom.
​
In the summer of 2015, I was lucky enough to travel to Belgium and experience a World War I trench.
"Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends."
